ICEMULE + ALL HANDS VOLUNTEERS PARTNER TO HELP HURRICANE VICTIMS
When we saw Hurricane Harvey make its treacherous journey across the Caribbean, pummeling the Virgin Islands and other vulnerable land masses, our hearts were sinking. This wasn’t the typical hurricane. Finally, when Harvey began its descent on Houston, we were hoping for the best but knew due to the size and power of the storm, we had to prepare for the worst. And as we all now know, the devastation wrought by this storm was unprecedented. We knew we had to do whatever we could as a company to help.
We’re a Florida-based company, and hurricanes are often the butt of jokes around here, but once the storms focus their rage on us, we get serious. After the devastating effects of Matthew last year in our home town of St. Augustine, Florida, we had to find a way to give back to victims of major storms. After being approached by the CEO of All Hands Volunteers, a fantastic organization that helps staff relief teams across the globe in regions that have been impacted by natural catastrophes, we knew we found the perfect fit. Through All Hands, we have donated nearly 100 of our backpack coolers, with more on the way, to help outfit their teams with the gear to ensure victims get water, ice, groceries and other supplies when there is nothing left after a natural disaster. All Hands deployed teams to the areas that were affected by Harvey within days.
Now, with the devastation in Puerto Rico and Florida from Hurricane Maria, this organization is busier than ever. They are in need of volunteers and donations to help them fulfill their mandate. We are asking our ICEMULE family to help make a donation to All Hands. And as a gesture of goodwill, we will match every dollar contributed by our customers up to $1,000. Just send an email to email@example.com of the amount you’ve contributed with a screenshot so we can verify.
