How do I clean and maintain my ICEMULE Cooler?
Proper maintenance of your ICEMULE is key to ensuring optimal performance. If you've only stored ice inside (i.e. no food or spilled beer or soda), simply pour the ice out, wipe it down with a towel, and hang the ICEMULE upside down to dry.
Follow these steps on how to clean your ICEMULE:
*Please be sure to properly close your AirValve when cleaning. We do
not recommend turning the cooler inside out for cleaning or any other
reason.*
- Start by removing any debris by sprinkling a bit of baking soda onto a clean towel and rubbing that onto the surface of your ICEMULE.
- Next, mix one-part vinegar with two parts water and a couple of tablespoons of Murphy's Oil Soap, soak a clean towel in the solution, and wipe the mixture all over the surface before rinsing clean with a wet towel.
- If you have any spots to remove on your ICEMULE, you can make a paste with baking soda, which is known for brightening surfaces and lifting stains.
- To make a baking soda paste, simply mix three parts baking soda with one part water and add five to ten drops of dish soap to the paste mixture. Apply a bit of paste to the stain and use a clean cloth to scrub the area. After the stain has been
lifted, wipe any remaining residue off of your ICEMULE with a towel andwarm water.

Bought this on sale in July 4th for an upcoming trip to Hilton Head, SC. Wanted something for the pool 🤫 and the beach that we could fly with. In the past we've packed swim stuff in large soft sided cooler but with bag policies changing, we didn't want to check it. I'm comes the IceMule Pro Large 23L. First off, IceMule customer service was responsive and assured me that it would arrive before I left on the 11th, which it did. Second, it was easy to pack flat on the bottom of one of our rolling suitcases. Just forced it flat and laid all the clothes and everything else on top of it. Very easy. Finally, it performed exactly as we wanted it to you. It kept all our drinks and poolside snacks (including meats and cheese) cold as can be for our whole trip using only hotel ice. The cooler is very easy to drain the water out of, just pinching the top to make a spout. I just kept refilling it with ice with the machine on the floor. The bag makes it quick work. Then just fold it up and throw it on. The straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. Never felt like the bag was too heavy even with more than a dozen cans and bottles of water and drinks. Needed a cooler for those times you want a lot of capacity without lugging around a huge cooler. This thing is perfect. Golfing with the boys, hiking with the family, canoeing with my wife, carrying snacks and drinks for the crew, I can do it all, and I can do it big. I didn’t just want a bag for a few things, I wanted to have all I needed conveniently, and it is just that. I only have a lake day and a golf outing under my belt with it, but it kept 12 drinks super cold for 5 hours with 4 blocks of ice. And it floats? I’m sold!
