How to get the best performance from your ICEMULE

How to get the best performance from your ICEMULE
ICEMULE on beach

We love being different. We’ve taken the traditional cooler and engineered the same technology into a soft-sided backpack. In today’s post, we want to show you some tips & tricks to make your ICEMULE perform as well as any traditional hard cooler –– and add a level of portability previously unmatched in the cooler category.

We consider these conditions when we are evaluating every ICEMULE for peak performance.

  1. 24 hours + of ice retention depending on the model (See chart below)
  2. Cold Drinks
  3. Fresh (dry) Food
  4. ICEMULE coolers float!
  5. Closed Properly for water resistance
  6. Properly inflated with the air valve closed
  7. Portability with a comfortable carry

Preparation is key to having the best adventure. When you are preparing drinks for your next adventure, whether you are headed to the beach, going on a hike, or walking around the city we want your ICEMULE to be at its best.

When you follow these four steps, you can count on your ICEMULE to achieve peak performance.

Step 1: Load your ICEMULE with drinks and/or food.

Cold drinks will help with longer ice retention

Step 2: Add the recommended amount of ice depending on the model of your cooler. (See Chart Below)

The recommended amount of ice is to ensure 24 hours of ice retention. The amount of ice needed to keep items cold varies depending on how much food and drink are loaded into your cooler.

Step 3: Properly close the cooler. For roll top ICEMULEs fold 2-3 times TOWARDS the ICEMULE logo and clip back towards the straps. To see a video example, check out, “How to close our ICEMULE For ICEMULEs with a zipper make sure the zippers are fully closed and locked into place.

This is the most important step to insure long lasting ice retention.

Step 4: Add air to the insulation by blowing into the air valve. Tighten the air valve and close it completely.

NOW THAT YOUR ICEMULE IS READY FOR YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE, THE REST IS UP TO YOU. GET OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN!
